It's time. Yes, it's time to take Moral Victories. Though this is contrary to UNC Basketball and Coach William's philosophy, this teams needs something to build on and get better. The negative energy on this team is overwhelming and something positive needs to be taken from the Florida State game. The Heels won the second half, particularly the last 8 minutes because of their defensive tenacity and urgency. In the remaining games and practices, they need to continue to do the positive things and work on correcting the negative things that occurred last night. The second half of the FS game was a moral victory for this team, much like many weaker teams in the past who played Carolina and won or tied the second half. They tried to use that as a springboard to better play and as a learning tool.

As of now the Tar Heels' only chance to make a trip to the NCAA tournament is to win the ACC tournament. They have only a couple of weeks to develop into a respectable to with a chance to do just that. They need to take as many positives from the remaining games and change their mindset from being afraid to lose to working toward winning.

Well I only got to see the second half of the FSU game.  I'm just still kind of scratching my head about how different this team is vs how they were at the beginning of the season.  It was pretty bad basketball all around last night, but the Heels were very lackluster and made so so many dumb mistakes, as if they hadn't had enough sleep in weeks or something.

I thought McDonald played pretty well and would like to see him help Graves with the shooting.  Poor Graves has to score about al our points every game.  It's good to see Henson out there playing more, although he really needs some steroids or something lol he's so skinny.  It seemed to me like Zeller was playing on the outside more than the inside.  Why that was happening at all I have no idea, but it doesn't seem like a good strategy for winning games.

Our guys were out hustled and muscled by FSU the whole time I was watching - except maybe the last 6 minutes where the Heels started closing the gap, but by then it was way too late.  Not sure why the urgency kicked in then.  I thought Roy looked stressed and tired too lol.

Idk, I've heard all kinds of chemistry rumors and I wonder what's going on, but this team is doing pretty bad.  I say there's no way they win the ACC tournament.  Not a chance.

Oh well, looking forward to seeing the freshmen play some more next year.  And somebody needs to feed all these guys some more milk, I can't believe how many injuries we have.

- and welcome to the site John.

Thanks.

If you thought the second half was bad, you should've seen the first half. Short of a complete turnaround, I thinks its a very short season for this year's tar heels. Stranger things have happened, but I believe the effort should start with taking positives away from each game and building on them. Not only are they playing poorly, but their body language before and during the games are so negative. That's the only excuse I can find for the poor foul shooting, since these young men have been playing basketball for their entire lives, at least for most. The players and the Coaches seem emotionally drained and mentally weak. As the Coach says "just play the dad-gum game".

wish I could be watching this game - trying to find a stream but it's usually impossible when it's a "small" game only on Raycom or FSS.   I didn't get to see that last game either.  May have been our last W of the season too lol.  Let me know how it goes guys.
